: Ban Suchoke Resort : Getting there

Why not join the Pattaya Bush Hash in Ratchaburi Thailand for our 2011 outstation run.
The event will take place over three days from Friday 11th Feb. to Sunday 13th Feb. 2011.
It will be very different from our normal Bush Hash day out and everyone is sure to have a lot
of fun. There will be
time also to take a look see at some of the many places of interest
in the province.

Located about one and a half hours west of Bangkok and between four
hours from Pattaya, Ratchaburi will be the Bush outstation
venue for February 2011

Ratchaburi province

The province is full of cultural heritage and historic sites. It is located
around 80km from Bangkok and 250km from Pattaya. The east part
of the province contains the flat river plains of the Mae Klong river,
crisscrossed by many khlongs. The most famous tourist spot in this
area is the Damnoen Saduak floating market.
The west of the province
is more mountainous, and includes the Tanawsri mountain range that
borders Burma.

   
DETAILS
  • Sign-up fee: The sign up fee will be between 800 baht and 1000 baht for men but we aim to keep this
    as low as possible. Included in the sign up will be a commemorative t-shirt, local transport to and
    from the run site/s, lot’s and lot’s of cold beer after the main run on Saturday and also evening
    dinner on Saturday.  The sign up fee does not include transport to and from Ratchaburi and does not
    include accommodation costs and/or personnel restaurant costs etc.

    Sign-up deposit: The Deposit will be the Hotel cost for the two nights. This will ensure that we will
    be able to book the whole resort at the earliest time.


    Pattaya Sign-up: Anyone interested should make contact as soon as possible. Individual resort rooms
    are limited and we also require 35 to 40 people to be registerd by Saturday 12th February 2011 to
    make this run viable and reserve the rooms. Please contact:

  • Transport:  We ask that people car share when possible which also means that the travel expenses
    can also be shared !  The distance from Pattaya is around 250 km.  If there are people who still
    do not have transport, then we will provide an experienced guide who will escort the group on  
    comfortable public air-conditioned buses right up to the resort.  The price per person using 
    public transport is around 400 baht return. We will try to arrange for a cool box that will enable
    cold storage of liquid refreshments during the ride.  Should be a fun ride actually !


  • Accommodation: click here for deails We will stay at the Baan Suchoke Resort and they have a variety of  rooms available at very good rates.  The cheapest rooms are fan only at 150 baht per night with the most expensive
    family air conditioned room being 1,500 baht that includes 4 separate bedrooms.  We will provide a list
    of available room types.

On the morning of Friday 11th February we will travel to the Baan Suchoke Resort in Rastchaburi province. After lunch
we plan on having a special fun run. On the way to the run site, we will stop at one or two places of interest.

Saturday morning of 12th February: There will be free time to allow some sightseeing as
people wish. We may arrange for a trip to the floating market for those interested !

Our aim is to have everyone stay at the Baan Suchoke Resort situated very close to the famouse Damnoen Saduak floating
market. The resort is also home to the famous 'Cobra Show' and is optional for those who like to see a bit of
Thai style entertainment !
