- Transport UPDATE: We expect that most people will wish to use their own cars to make their way to Kanchanaburi and perhaps car share. For those who have no means of transport to Kanchanaburi, we will meet on 2nd road Pattaya on Friday morning 12th March 2010 (please check the outstation links for details - 'where to meet').
A minibus will be available for those people who have signed up early but we do expect there to be several spare seats available for late comers etc. We will ask that people who use the minibus to contribute to the cost of our hiring it.
If there is no seat available on the minibus, we will try to assist you in using the regular air-conditioned bus service to travel to Kanchanaburi. This relaxed method of travel is fairly inexpensive
and convenient. There will be one change over in Bangkok for the final leg of the journey. Buses depart on a very regular basis.
The cost of transport is separate to the sign-up and is the expense and responsibility of the individual.
PLEASE LET EITHER THE HARE: PUSSY VIRUS OR JM's TAMPAX, MRS HEAD or GI JOE KNOW IF YOU REQUIRE
TRANSPORT. We need to know as soon as possible !!!

Our aim is to have everyone stay at the Inchantree Resort in Kanchanaburi city (very close to the historic River Kwai Bridge).
The option however is available to stay at an alternative hotel if you so wish and we have provided a list of various
accommodations, addresses, prices and contact details.
Kanchanaburi has an area close to the bridge and river where one can find a good variety of Hotels and Guesthouses with a
price range to suit. There are also numerous bars and restaurants with both Foreign and Thai food available. Many bars
also have pool tables and live bands. Located further south on the river bank down town one can find the more contemporary
lively Thai restaurants and nightspots including a disco. |
