Last Bush Hash meeting: Thursday 23rd July 2009

1. Beer Truck
Following the major problem of the bush not being allowed to
transport runners from the water stop back to the a-site on the July
run, we have acquired the use of an alternative pick up truck for use as
a beer truck and people carrier. Tampax and F. Dog will work out the details
before the next Bush run in August. Tampax will bring along his lighting
set for use at the a-site.
2. Mismanagement positions
Tadpole will now handle the Bush rags (Haberdash) and will also take pictures
(Hash flash). Queen Stella and Mrs Head will take care of transporting
the bush table and chairs etc to the a-site (Material Handling) and VV will
continue on as our Food Guy.
3. Haberdash
Tadpole will try to locate more items such as ladies t-shirts, caps etc
so as to provide the Bush with a greater range of stock for our virgins
and visitors to buy. Also, we will try to come up with new generic
t-shirt designs.
4. Sponsorship
Ballringer has kindly agreed to try and find sponsors and happy hour
bars for use by the Bush.
5. Hareline
The Dog has shown an interest in putting together a 'Norwegian Run'
for October. This will be confirmed shortly. The Bush will then have hares
up until February 2010.
6. Bush Hash Bar
It is desirable that the bush have a number of hash bars where we can
place written run directions etc for up coming runs. One possible bar
would be Patrics Belgian Bar which is ideally placed in the center of
town.
7. Special Runs
Charlie Manson has confirmed that he will return to Pattaya and the Bush
in November 2009 when he will possibly hare alongside Tampax and the
Banglamung
Bottomfeeders for his 50th birthday Bash. The Bush will
have t-shirts available on this run. We will look into the possibility of
having additional special t-shirt runs within the next year.
8. Outstation Run
We will look into the possibility of having a Bush outstation run within the coming months.
We will probably require some sponsorship for any outstation run to cover amongst other
things the cost of transport and/or food etc. In the meantime, we will try to find a
suitable location and run.
9. Finances
Although the Bush finances are at present healthy, we urgently need to take tighter
control of our expenses. For this reason, the hare for August (Ballringer) has kindly
offered to sponsor the on-site food/fruit and snacks etc. In addition, Spaghetti Head and
the Norwegians will most likely sponsor the food in September and October. Both Tadpole
and Tampax have also volunteered to sponsor the on-site food for a run.
If food sponsorship is not possible, then the Bush may possibly provide an alternative arrangement
where runners can purchase a variety of on-site food that will include barbequed burgers/sausages
etc at a reasonable price.
