Another 2nd Saturday of the month arrives which means a Bush run, which coincides with the All Blacks, the Rugby Union World champions playing the Irish at the same time in NZ, so it’s a bit of a toss up whether to go hashing or watch the champions.
I decide I will go hashing convinced the All Blacks would win, unlike the Aussies who were well beaten by the Scots earlier on in the week. “Go Jimmy”
Familiar hares await us at the very familiar “A” site, No Meat and Weed Eater who most people know are brother and sister, doing the married thing in Thailand, much to the disgust of their parents.
They explain the run which doesn’t need explaining because it is pretty much the same same as last time.
Sixteen to seventeen odd km’s and 2 water stops later we arrive back at the A site. V.V. and Squeeze are cooking up hamburgers, Jellobutt gets his money out and then see’s the free food, so commences to feed his face for the next 2 hours, by the way he put his money back into his pocket very quickly.
G.M. Bam Bam calls the circle, 10-15 mins later the rain starts, Spag yells out it’s all right, it’s not agent orange or napalm, like the yanks were spraying all over the Viet Cong. But we all ended up sheltering in the near by pergola to finish off the festivities.
All in all a good day hashing, by the way the All Blacks won 45-10, Go the Blacks.
