Pattaya Bush Run # CXXX (130)

The Pattaya Bush Run # CXXX (130) of the 9 july 2011 was a special one for many reasons. First of all it was the 2011 AGM run and the time for the Joint Bushmasters Tampax and Mrs Head to hand over to the new GM Bam Bam after two year of commitment. Sixty seven hashers were present for this event. It was the right day to commemorate the death of Madame Claude (R.I.P) who left us about one year ago. For those that didn't remember him, I just can say that Claude was one of the very good guys that I met on Pattaya Hashs. Always happy to be here, he never complained about anything in spite of the bad influence of his fellow’s French friends. For this memorial run, Mademoiselle Chang his ex girl friend came straight from Bangkok to say an ultimate Au Revoir (goodbye).
The fact that the A site took place at the Bann Peter Pan and Resort probably also explain the crowd. This Resort got a small but pretty swimming pool and it was great location for something who supposed to be a family run. Lucky hashers who only did the second part of the trail, mainly the lazy Belgium contingency, had been the first to put their dirty foot in the water. It’s difficult to argue that the run was very long if you compare to the previous Bush run. The hashers who were there know what I’m talking about. Anyway it was not so easy. That may be explain why the run # 130 has needed 4 hares (Mrs Head, V.V., Dirty Pussy and Tampax) to be completed.
I heard that V.V mostly cut the road alone. It’s probably true because the first part of the trail was full of water and it is V.V trademark. Of course this dirt road had also plenty of spines, holes, red ants and a tiny snake who scared few thought hashers. Well, there was really nothing unusual for a Bush run. So except Pussy Virus and a visitor who arrived late from Bangkok all the hasher were back to the A site before the night falls to enjoy on the swimming pool with fresh drinks. The circle followed in a kind of Oscar atmosphere where every past and new bushmasters giving thanks to each others. Some of these nominees were also called just after the dinner to receive a special grateful "Bush Certificate". To finish, I add just few words about the Thai Buffet. I can’t say that it was great, wonderful and marvelous as our anglo mates use to say for about any kind of hash food but it was free, as the pool, as the T-shirt, as the fun…
